This Ginger-Kissed Crumble Recipe Is So Comforting — Easy to Make in 30 Minutes

A warm crumble straight from the oven. Our ginger-kissed crumble recipe takes the classic recipe to a whole new level with the addition of fresh sliced ginger.

When making this ginger-kissed crumble recipe, make sure the melted butter cools slightly before you add it the crumble mixture. Hot butter may cause the sugar to melt, resulting in a less crumbly, greasy topping.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. strawberries, trimmed, quartered
  • 1 (6 oz.) cont. blackberries
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp. grated, peeled fresh ginger
  • 6 Tbs. butter, melted
  • Vanilla ice cream, strawberry sauce and mint sprigs (optional)

Heat oven to 375°F. In a bowl, mix berries, 1/4 cup flour, 1/2 cup sugar and ginger. Divide among 8 (6 oz.) ramekins. 

Mix remaining flour, sugar and 1/4 tsp. salt. Stir in butter until crumbly; sprinkle over fruit. Place ramekins on baking pan. Bake until golden and bubbly, 20–25 min. Let cool. If desired, add ice cream, sauce and mint.
