Smoky Southwestern Chili

This easy southwestern chili soup recipe requires only 20 minutes of prep time. Let your slow cooker do all the hard work here!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 (15 oz.) can kidney beans rinsed and drained
  • 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 15 oz.) can corn drained
  • 2 tsp. ground cumin
  • 1 tsp. dried oregano
  • 1 tsp. sugar

Instructions

In large skillet over medium-high heat, cook beef and onions until beef is browned, stirring often; drain. 

In 3 1⁄2−4-qt. slow cooker, combine all ingredients. Cover; cook on low 5−6 hrs. until mixture is thick and flavorful.
