Get Pure Bliss in Every Bite With This Wow-Worthy White Chocolate Strawberry Cloud Cake Recipe

Creamy frosting, sweet strawberry jam and fluffy angel food create a cake that's truly decadent, yet light as air

In my opinion, cake is the ultimate dessert. The sweet frosting combined with the moist, tender cake reminds me of the delicious desserts I used to love as a kid. Even though I didn’t like fruity fillings back then, I am a huge fan of them now. So when we created this white chocolate strawberry cloud cake recipe with strawberry jam, I had to have not one but two slices. And I don’t regret it for a minute! Because even though it tastes deliciously decadent, this dessert as an airy quality, thanks to angel food cake and the fluffy frosting. Honestly, it’s practically magical — and why you’ll want to spring for that extra slice, trust me!

Ingredients

  • 1 (16 oz.) box angel food cake mix
  • 1 (12 oz.) block white chocolate, divided
  • 3 (8 oz.) pkgs. cream cheese at room temp.
  • 1/2 c. powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. seedless strawberry jam

Heat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit. Prepare cake mix as package directs. Line two 8-inch round cake pans with parchment paper. Divide batter evenly among pans. Bake 30 minutes or until done.

• In heatproof bowl, microwave 8 oz. white chocolate for 1 minute or until melted. Let cool 2 minutes. Using electric mixer on medium speed, beat cream cheese, sugar, and melted chocolate until light and fluffy. 

Spread first cake layer with 1 1/2 cups frosting. Spread strawberry jam over frosting; top with second cake layer. Frost top and sides of cake with remaining frosting. With wide vegetable peeler, create curls out of remaining white chocolate; arrange on cake top.
