Fresh, juicy berries are layered between fluffy biscuits and topped with a dollop of sweetened whipped cream. It’s a delightful dessert that’s both delicious and easy to make in 20 minutes. And we love that it satisfies the sweet tooth without any guilt. Fresh, seasonal berries are naturally low in calories and packed with antioxidants, while the homemade biscuits use just 2 ingredients you likely already have on hand.

When making this mixed berry shortcakes recipe, utilize in-season berries for the most affordable option. Frozen berries work too, but aim for unsweetened varieties to avoid added sugar.
