These Valentine’s Day cookies aren’t just cute, they also come with an added healthy perk! The monounsaturated fats found in the almond flour promotes our cells to burn abdominal fat for fuel, boosting fat loss by 56 percent.
- 4 c. fine almond flour plus more for rolling
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. maple syrup
- 1/4 c. coconut oil
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/2 c. cocoa powder
- 6 oz. semisweet chocolate melted
- 1 tube white icing
- 1 tube red icing
Heat oven to 350ºF.
In a bowl, mix first five ingredients. Transfer half to new bowl; stir in cocoa.
On floured surface, roll out each dough to 1/4" thick. Using 3" lips-shaped cutter, cut out cookies. Arrange on lined bakin ghseet; bake 12 minutes.
Spread each chocolate cookie with chocolate. Top with vanilla cookie. Decorate with icing as desired.
