It’s fun to go out to dinner on date night, but it can get to be an expensive. And let’s face it, sometimes you can make a better meal at home — especially when it’s as easy to do as it is impressive. That’s why you’ve got to try this coffee-rubbed rib-eye steak recipe. We create a flavorful rub for the steak with instant coffee, chile pepper, oregano and garlic. Then we quickly cook the meat in a skillet. But what takes the dish from good to great is the red wine pan sauce we whip up and then pour over the steak. Its luscious rich flavor complements the steak perfectly. We guarantee, you and your date will fall in love with this dinner!
You can easily customize the sauce for the steak, too. For a little extra decadence, swirl a tablespoon of butter into it. Or, for a savory twist, replace the instant coffee with 2 teaspoons of ground cumin. Give this recipe a try on your next date night and leave us a comment.
