Ingredients

  • 4 (6 oz.) boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
  • ½ tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 egg
  • ¾ cup seasoned dry breadcrumbs
  • 1½ cups tomato and basil pasta sauce, warmed
  • 4 slices mozzarella cheese, about 3 oz.

Place each chicken breast half between 2 sheets plastic wrap; pound to 1⁄2"-thick with mallet or heavy pot. Sprinkle with garlic powder and 1⁄4 tsp. salt. In bowl, beat egg. Dip chicken in egg then crumbs.

Heat air fryer to 350°F. Coat air-fryer basket with cooking spray. In 2 batches, air-fry chicken until golden and no longer pink in center, 8-10 min. per batch. Top each cutlet with 2 Tbs. sauce and 1 slice cheese. Air-fry until cheese melts, 2 min. Transfer to baking dish. Serve chicken with remaining sauce.
