Our Cinnamon Rolls Recipe Creates Irresistible Sweet Buns That Bake Up Easy

Hot roll mix is the shortcut to these cinnamon rolls drizzled with a quick-prep glaze

Baking up a batch of cinnamon rolls couldn’t be easier thanks to our shortcut recipe. It uses hot roll mix, which already comes with baking staples such as flour, salt and a separate yeast packet. This convenient ingredient saves you time measuring and creates fluffy cinnamon rolls once baked. The warm cinnamon rolls are drizzled with a quick prep-glaze of confectioners’ sugar and milk, which adds a creamy and sugar flavor to this treat. While they’re excellent for brunch, these cinnamon rolls are a delicious baked dessert option!

To balance the sweetness of the cinnamon rolls, top them with crumbled regular bacon or spicy-sweet million dollar bacon. You can also add a hint of tartness with chopped strawberries, blueberries or raspberries. Additionally, the glaze is fine to flavor with a dash of cinnamon, vanilla extract or fresh citrus zest.   • 1 (16 oz.) pkg. hot roll mix
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 6 Tbs. butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tbs. + 1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 Tbs. ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
  • 4 tsp. milk


• Grease 13”x9” baking pan. Prepare mix with water, 2 Tbs. butter and egg according to package directions, adding 2 Tbs. brown sugar. On floured surface, roll out dough to 12”x10” rectangle. Spread with remaining butter; sprinkle with remaining sugar and cinnamon. Roll up; press edge to seal. Cut into 8 slices. Arrange in pan; cover. Let rise until doubled in size, 30 min.

• Heat oven to 350°F. Bake until golden, 25–30 min. Let cool slightly. Combine confectioners’ sugar and milk; drizzle over rolls.
