Delicious Air-Fryer Honey-Mustard Chicken Recipe Is the Perfect Weeknight Dinner

When you need a simple, flavorful supper idea that preps quick, this air-fryer honey-mustard chicken recipe checks all the boxes. It’s the perfect, easy-to-make dish that uses seasonings that you most likely already have around the house.

The air fryer keeps the chicken juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. And it cuts down cooking time, too. Then, simply brush the finished bird with our sweet and tangy glaze and you’re good to go.

For an easy side dish, try this easy avocado fries recipe. In a bowl, beat 1 egg. In a separate bowl, mix ¼ cup cornmeal and ½ tsp. each salt and garlic powder. Dredge 24 (½”-thick) avocado slices in egg, then cornmeal mix. In batches, lay avocado slices in a single layer in the basket; air-fry at 400°F for eight min., flipping halfway.

  • ½ cup whole-grain Dijon mustard
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ tsp. cayenne pepper
  • ¼  tsp. garlic powder
  • 4 lbs. bone-in, skin-on chicken pieces
  • Roa sted garlic halves, chili peppers and chopped fresh parsley (optional)

In small bowl, whisk together mustard, honey, cayenne pepper and garlic powder; reserve.

Heat air fryer to air-fry at 325°F. Coat air-fryer basket with cooking spray. Coat chicken pieces with cooking spray. Sprinkle chicken with ½ tsp. salt and ½ tsp. pepper.

In 2 batches, place chicken in air-fryer basket; place basket in air fryer. Air-fry until golden and chicken is no longer pink near bones, 25–30 min. per batch, brushing with reserved glaze mixture several times during last 10 min. of cooking time. Transfer to serving platter. If desired, garnish with garlic, peppers and parsley.
