going to your waistline. Credit goes to the anthocyanins, which
block the formation of new fat cells and prevent the growth of
existing ones. In one study, subjects who ate 1⁄2 cup of blueberries daily gained 33 percent less weight on a high-fat diet than berry skippers.
The high levels of anthocyanins in these sweet bites also reduce the output of a pro-inflammatory compound (called prostaglandin E2) by 70 percent, according to Brazilian scientists. This dials down the body-wide cellular inflammation that causes weight gain, diabetes, and heart disease.

Strawberry Contentment — Blend 2 cups frozen strawberries, 1 cup plain yogurt, and 1 Tbs. raw honey. Makes 2 servings
Blueberry Blast-Off — Blend 1 cup frozen blueberries, 1 cup grape juice, and 1⁄ 2 cup nonfat vanilla yogurt. If desired, top with fresh mint leaves and blueberries.
