UPDATE (3/14) -- When Shannen Doherty shared photos of her shaved head last year, we applauded her bravery for being so open about her breast cancer. Now, she's published something even more revealing.
On her social media, she uploaded an old video that shows actual footage of friend Anne Marie Kortright shaving Doherty's head. And her reaction proves she's such a fighter.
"This day..... laughing thru the tears. Thank you @annemkortright for jumping in and doing what needed to be done," she wrote.
During the clip she laughs, cracking a joke about how her hair makes her look like cartoon character Bart Simpson. Her humor in the face of a terrifying disease--cancer--is a source of inspiration for women.
Today, she's finished with chemotherapy. We hope she's cancer-free soon!
UPDATE (2/27) -- More good news for Shannen Doherty. The actress has officially finished her chemotherapy treatment! Doherty has been very open with her fans during her battle with breast cancer, and, again, she got brutally honest with her social media followers.
The 45-year-old posted an old photo from October when she first began chemo with the caption: "#fbf to this morning... not that long ago. Last day of chemo. Exhausted. Now that I'm done with chemo and radiation, the waiting game is here. Waiting for test. Waiting to see if I'm clear or not. Waiting for reconstruction. Waiting. I think when one gets cancer, they are always waiting to a certain extent. To those who know... I'm waiting with you. #cancerslayer 🎀"

UPDATE (12/16) -- Shannen Doherty just proved (again!) that her spirit won't be dampened during her courageous battle with cancer. The actress's post about an awkward encounter with a stranger who tried to cancer-shame her has totally reaffirmed just how strong, sassy, and smart she can be.
Driving home from radiation with my love @kurtiswarienko Today, we were in an elevator and I was asked how I was feeling. I responded by saying that I had just gotten a radiation treatment so therefore very tired. The random girl on the elevator with us physically lunged away as far as she could. She then proceeded to look horrified for the next 3 floors. Just a heads up.... 1. You can't catch it 2. The radiation won't leak out of me and go into you. Hope that helps. #cancertruths from the #cancerslayer

"I felt sorry for myself for a minute. Then stopped and reminded myself of how lucky I am," she wrote. "Thank God my new radiation oncologist decided to try without contrast so I would calm down."
Ct scan to do mapping for radiation plan. This scared me so much. Not sure why. Was supposed to get it with contrast but the minute they started looking at which vein to use I started crying. Full panic attack. Sometimes, you just get sick of being poked. And that's ok. I cried. I felt sorry for myself for a minute. Then stopped and reminded myself of how lucky I am. Thank God my new radiation oncologist decided to try without contrast so I would calm down. So.... one panic attack down and mapping done!! Now to actually start radiation... #cancerslayer #warrior #fightlikeagirl #blessed
We're keeping her in our thoughts and prayers as she embarks on this new chapter.

You can see the inspiring message in full below.
#fbf to a very short bit ago. Day after #chemoday isn't always so great. Sometimes one isn't able to dance, or eat or even to think about the next day. Sometimes it just feels like you aren't going to make it. That passes. Sometimes the next day or 2 days later or 6 but it passes and movement is possible. Hope is possible. Possibility is possible. To my cancer family and everyone suffering.... stay courageous. Stay strong. Stay positive. #wegotthis. #fightlikeagirl
