Hollywood power couple Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson must have tapped the fountain of youth, because these two look far younger than their 60 years in the snapshot Wilson just shared to commemorate the couple's 29th (29?!) wedding anniversary.
The actress posted a snuggly pic of herself and Hanks smiling for the camera. She captioned the photo, "29 years of marriage! Thank you, God, for bringing me this man." How sweet!
It's hard to believe the pair has been married for almost three decades. When the two tied the knot in 1988, Hanks was still a baby-faced 31-year-old awaiting the release of his new film Big. Now, they have one of the longest-lasting celebrity marriages, and the two are parents to Chet and Truman Hanks. They also raised Hanks' two children, Colin and Elizabeth, from his first marriage to Samantha Lewes.
In 2014, Wilson chatted with The Huffington Post and shared some pearls of wisdom with readers about aging. When asked whether she did anything to maintain her youthful appearance, she said, "I laugh a lot!" Of course, that's to be expected when you're married to one of Hollywood's funny guys.
As for whether or not she would ever try those hyped-up anti-aging treatments like Botox, Wilson told fashion designer Tom Ford, "I'm never going to be the person who says you shouldn't do things, but sometimes it's like women don't really see themselves. ...At the end of the day, those procedures don't necessarily make people look better; they just make people look different from how they did before."
But really, Wilson thanks her husband and her family for her continued youthfulness. No matter what she looks like, she has had the same man stand by her side for almost half her life.
"My parents were married for 58 years before my dad died, so I grew up with that model. I love the idea of commitment."
So inspiring, Rita!
