Big news for one-half of America's most famous real estate twins! Property Brothers star Drew Scott has announced his engagement to longtime girlfriend Linda Phan, plus shared all the fun details of his elaborate proposal. (And yes, brother Jonathan was in on the surprise!)
After hiding the ring for weeks and being as "stealthy as a ninja" with his plans, he popped the question to Phan, 31, at a Toronto restaurant called Piano Piano on Dec. 13. He arranged for the staff to play a prerecorded version of him singing the song "Marry Me" by Train. During the ballad, the staff brought out a cake decorated with illustrations from one of Phan’s favorite books, Dr. Seuss’s Oh, the Places You’ll Go, which had been tweaked to read “Oh, the Places We’ll Go.”
“I’ve never met another woman like her and once you do, you want to be with her forever,” the HGTV star, 38, who recently released two country singles with brother Jonathan, told PEOPLE magazine.
Festivities continued after dinner with a surprise engagement party at a nearby venue that Phan had been led to believe was a company holiday party. Friends and family, including both fiancés’ parents, as well Jonathan and their other sibling J.D., were all in attendance.
Scott even took to Instagram on Dec. 14 to share his excitement over the news.
Scott and Phan met in 2010. We love their adorable engagement story, and are sure the wedding will be just as spectacular. Congrats to the happy couple!
