College freshmen have a lot on their minds: tougher classes to master, new friends to make, laundry to do. So it's no surprise they don't always have time to reach out to their parents, despite all their good intentions.
So one Pennsylvania mom took to Facebook to spur her son to action. "Well guess it's safe to say that Liam McCarney is well adjusted at college! That being said a Mamma's gotta call him out!" wrote Ann Pinto McCarney in the caption to her video.
She wastes no time in launching into her plea. "Do you remember me? I'm your Mommy!" And then she proceeds to jog his memory, listing some of the things she's done, from babyhood on.
"Do you remember the first two years of your life? There was this woman, and you were always on her hip!"
The list of what this lady did for Liam continues: meals, the karate classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays she drove him to from fifth to 10th grade ("You were always yelling at her, 'I hate karate! It's stupid'"), the school events she went to.
Finally, she gives him step-by-step instructions on how to use a phone, so he has no excuse. Since the video has gone viral, we're sure he's gotten the message!
