Meghan Markle Hugs a Young Fan Who Wants to Be an Actress Just Like Her
Meghan Markle is already shaping up to be a pretty perfect princess. While visiting Birmingham, England, for International Women’s Day on Thursday, March 8, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry met a sweet young girl who said she wants to be an actress just like Meghan. And, true to the Suits star’s grace and charm, when Meghan heard the royal fan’s confession, she gave her a great big hug!
While greeting the crowds of people lining Birmingham’s streets, Harry, 33, spoke to 10-year-old Sophia Richards, who is a student at Oasis Academy in Warndon, England, according to People. When Richards then told Harry that she has dreams of becoming an actress, the royal quickly gestured for Meghan, 36, to chat with the little girl.

“Meghan told me that I can achieve whatever I want to achieve. And Meghan said she would like to see me on TV when I become an actress,” Richards gushed after meeting Harry’s stunning fiancée. “It was a dream come true. I will never forget this day.” Before Meghan announced her engagement to Harry in November 2017, the California native had a successful acting career.
Though she’s probably best known for playing paralegal Rachel Zane on the USA drama Suits from 2011 until 2018, Meghan also notably appeared in movies Remember Me and Horrible Bosses. She also once worked as a Briefcase Girl on the popular game show Deal or No Deal, guest-starred on TV shows General Hospital, CSI: NY, Fringe, The League, and Castle, and starred in the Hallmark Channel’s TV movies Dater’s Handbook and When Sparks Fly.
Now that she’s engaged to marry Harry, Meghan has officially left her Hollywood career behind to instead focus on humanitarian work and being a part of the British royal family. The couple recently stepped out for their first royal engagement with Harry’s brother, Prince William, and sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, during which Harry spoke candidly about what it’s like to work with family.
“We have different opinions and they work really well [together]. Working as family does have its challenges; of course, it does,” he began. “[I think] the fact that everybody is laughing shows they know exactly what’s it like. But we are stuck together for the rest of our lives.” Meghan then chimed in sweetly: “Togetherness at its finest!”
