This Girl Singing "Hallelujah" Into a Wishing Well Will Give You Chills

Twitter

When we first fell in love with a girl singing Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah, the beautiful video came from a school holiday concert. This time, it's a 17-year-old girl singing into a well that is melting hearts on the Internet--and her rendition seems to top them all.

Everyone is mesmerized by this video of 17-year-old Tiffany Ruan from Kansas singing Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" in Italy. So much so, in fact, that the post has gone viral.

Ruan was on a spring break trip with her high school singing group when she was inspired to break out in song amidst the stunning scenery in Venice.

Apparently, the acoustics of the wishing well set the perfect stage for the teen’s angelic voice. And we couldn’t agree more!

“I looked over and saw my choir teacher with a group of students singing into (the well),” Ruan said through Twitter. “I thought it was really cool, so I went over to record a video.”

The singer posted a full version of the video to her YouTube channel after the original 48-second snippet was widely circulated online. The video has since been shared over 125,000 times and liked over 300,000 times on Twitter--a fact that we, as well as Ruin, can hardly believe. Taking to Twitter, she couldn't have been more thrilled about the positive responses she's received.

“I'm overwhelmed, you guys, with what's happening,” she wrote on Twitter. “You guys are so sweet. I promise I'll keep posting more singing videos!!!”

We sure hope she does.
