This Genius Storage Hack Magically Creates More Space in Your Kitchen

Tags:

Counter space is a never-ending struggle at my house. Every time I feel like we’ve got it under control, another must-have appliance makes its way into our kitchen, or I go a little too wild buying new utensils and gadgets. As a result, I end up spending a lot of time thinking about how best to optimize my space — and the latest kitchen storage hack I found is nothing short of genius.

With the holidays approaching, I’ve acquired a ton of new kitchen gear that now has no place to live, and I stumbled on this tip on The Kitchn during my latest desperate search for a solution. The main problem in my kitchen is a lack of drawers (probably my own fault, since I’ve designated more than one as the “junk” drawer!). Nevertheless, I’m in dire need of more drawer space, which is why this trick is perfect for me — and you, if you’re also short on available drawers.

The Answer To My Kitchen Storage Prayers

I keep my spices in the drawer right next to my stove, where they’re neatly organized so I can quickly grab what I need. That takes up a lot of precious drawer real estate, however, and this tip made me realize I do have some storage space I wasn’t utilizing: the side of my fridge! The Roysili Magnetic Refrigerator Spice Rack (Buy from Amazon, $27.59) is the perfect solution to take advantage of this extra space.

This spice rack sticks to the side of my fridge and lets me organize my endless bottles of spices quickly and easily. It also just looks really cute, since we tend to use a lot of different colored spices on our food.

Now all my new gadgets fit in the drawer I previously used for spices, and all is right in the world. I wholeheartedly recommend this kitchen storage hack!
