Even though Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest are officially today's morning power couple, it doesn't seem like all of America has jumped on the Live with Kelly & Ryan bandwagon. In fact, the stars' name recognition hides the fact that most Americans doesn't really like either Kelly or Ryan. So in the battle to not be the worst, who comes out on top (watch the video below to find out!).
According to a study by the Q Scores Company, a group that determines the popularity of something and gives it a corresponding Q score, both TV hosts have below-average positive Q scores and above average-negative Q scores. Yikes! Henry Schafer, the company's president, called it "polarizing appeal," meaning viewers tune in because they "love to hate."
Do these results surprise you? Given the dramatic nature of morning talk shows—because why else would you be up that early if not to watch the drama unfold—it's not surprising that both hosts aren't necessarily a hit even though everyone knows their names.
