Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise Looked Like Twins in Matching Floral Dresses
She’s getting so big! Katie Holmes and her daughter Suri Cruise are quite the mother-daughter duo, but the actress has made it a point to limit her little girl’s time in the spotlight to only certain occassions — and lucky for us, this was one of those occasions. On May 21, Katie and Suri made a rare public outing together to the American Ballet Theatre’s Spring Gala at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York City, and they both stepped out in matching floral ensembles.
How cute! Even though Holmes did not share any photos featuring Suri from that night on Instagram, she shared a few snaps of herself with pals, and fans cannot get over how much Suri looks like her mom. “OMG! This is exactly Suri in 30 years,” one fan wrote.
Even though Suri is the daughter of two Hollywood actors — Holmes shares Suri with her ex-husband Tom Cruise — she still is getting a pretty normal childhood. Earlier this week, the mother and daughter were spotted in a New York City subway, waiting for a train on the way to school, according to The Daily Mail.
While Holmes is giving her daughter an average upbringing, she’s also hard at work on her acting career while also trying her hand at directing. She is currently working on a movie where she portrays an ex-marine — she’s built some pretty impressive biceps in order to prepare for the role — and she’s also starring the the upcoming film Ocean’s 8, which features a star-studded, all-female cast. And while some may wonder how she manages to juggle her career and motherhood, the fierce female seems to take it all in stride. “Some people say, ‘It must be so hard to act and direct at the same time,'” she told Women’s Health. “But it’s not as challenging as it looks, because you’re in charge of it. And when you’re a mom — we’re used to doing 25 things at once.”
