Kate Middleton is always glowing, so we just have to know: How does the Duchess achieve such radiant skin?
Her secret: chocolate. You heard us right! Following Middleton’s recent appearance at the BAFTAs, her beauty therapist, Deborah Mitchell, revealed to DailyMail.co.uk that the Duchess uses a chocolate face mask to attain ultimate perfection. According to Mitchell, chocolate spread contains moisturizing ingredients like palm oil and essential fatty acids to help keep the skin smooth.
Mitchell also recommends taking an oatmeal bath to soften skin and wearing socks filled with mashed bananas or avocados to replenish cracked heels.
If you needed any more convincing, Middleton is not the only starlet to swear by these quirky methods. In fact, Mitchell also counts actress Gwyneth Paltrow as one of her clients.
Although fit for the elite, these inexpensive beauty hacks can easily be replicated at home with little strain to your wallet. All that’s left to do is to scour your kitchen cupboards!
How to Make Your Own Chocolate Face Mask:
You will need:
- 50 grams of chocolate (70-90 percent cocoa)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 egg yolk
Warm the chocolate in a pan until it becomes liquid.
Mix 1 tablespoon of the warm liquid with the tablespoon of olive oil and the egg yolk.
Mix well and apply thoroughly to face.
Leave the mask on for 15 minutes and gently peel off using a rolling motion with your hands.
How to Make Your Own Oatmeal Bath:
You will need:
- A sock or muslin cloth
Place the dry oatmeal in a sock/towel and tie it around the faucet of your bathtub so that the oats steep in the water.
Once you finish your soak, use the sock full of oats as an exfoliator for your body.
