What Jennifer Lopez Does (and Doesn’t Do) to Make 50 Look Like 30

It’s no secret that Jennifer Lopez is one of the most gorgeous women on the planet. The multi-talented entertainer has been showing off killer looks for decades now — and she doesn’t shy away from sharing exactly how hard she works to remain so stunning and ageless.

Although she has a budget-friendly moisturizer to thank for her flawless skin, Lopez is no stranger to hitting the gym when it comes to keeping her physique in check. Her trainer, Dodd Romeo, puts her through the same level of exercise he does for his professional athlete clients (including Lopez’s fiancé, former Yankees star Alex Rodriguez). That means intense 90-minute sessions where they “go until everything’s sore and we’ve hit every body part,” Romero told US Weekly

Hit play on the video below to see one of their most recent workouts together:

No wonder Lopez looks like she hasn’t aged a day over the last 20+ years of her career — even after giving birth to her twins, Maximilian and Emme, in 2008. Of course, it’s not just about how she works out, but what she chooses to eat, too. You probably won’t be surprised to learn that her diet is just as hardcore as her exercise, but it’s clearly paying off for her.

Her daily meals are broken down into five categories: protein, vegetables, fats, carbohydrates, and water. Yep, water is its own category with Lopez slurping at least seven glasses of H2O each day.

As for her proteins, she limits her amount of grass fed beef to just three or four times a week and fills in the rest of the time with chicken breast, turkey, and egg whites. Lopez gets healthy fats from fish like salmon and sea bass, plus a handful of nuts for snacking. And if you got excited seeing that even someone as fit and toned as Lopez enjoys carbohydrates each day, keep in mind that those are complex carbs — things like quinoa, sweet potatoes, and oatmeal. Romero also revealed that Lopez stays away from alcohol and processed food to maintain all of her hard work.

That all sounds pretty strict, but Lopez is still human and has her own guilty pleasure foods, too. Rodriguez shared his lady’s love of chocolate chip cookies and ice cream while visiting the ladies of The View back when they first started dating in 2017. It’s nice to know even she has a soft spot for sweet treats!

We might not all have trainers and meal plans laid out for like Lopez, but her dedication to staying in shape is definitely an inspiration to the rest of us as we embark on 2020.
