We’re all about aging gracefully, but that doesn’t mean you can’t use little tricks to quickly and easily take years off your face--or at least avoid beauty mistakes that make you look older than the vibrant age you are!
Although caked on foundation and shimmery eye shadows are well-known culprits when it comes to making you look older, blush makes a huge difference. Define your face with this rosy hue the wrong way and you’ll make your cheeks look sunken and gaunt, automatically aging you.
Here’s how to apply it right: Place your thumb right where your ear meets your face and your pointer finger at the corner of your nose. The raised area under the bridge created by your fingers is your cheekbone, the exact place you want to highlight with your blush. Make sure you don’t apply blush lower than this line!
Now place your pointer and ring fingers next to the side of your nose; where they’re covering is the space you should avoid with your blush. Applying it too close to your mouth adds years to your face--something we’re guessing you’re eager to avoid!
For a perfecting final touch, make sure your blush is well blended so there are no clear lines along the sides of your face. That way the color appears to come from underneath your skin like a natural glow. After all, we could all use some extra tips to age as well as Cher's mother.
