Ice Cream Bars Sold at Aldi, Kroger, and Meijer Recalled Over Listeria Concerns

FDA

Heads up, ice cream bar fans: There's a new ice cream bar recall happening right now, and it's definitely one you need to know for the safety of yourself and your loved ones. Ice cream bars from Fieldbrook Foods Corporation, produced for popular brands like Hood and Purple Cow, have been recalled due to possibility of listeria contamination, according to the FDA.

Sold at popular grocery store chains like Aldi, Kroger, and Meijer, the recalled orange cream bars, chocolate coated vanilla ice cream bars, and variety packs have a production date of January 1, 2017 to December 31, 2017 and a “best by” date of January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2018. Some Hood and Kemps products may show a “best by” date of July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019. According to the FDA, no illnesses have been reported thus far from these ice cream bars. Let's help keep that from happening by spreading the word. If you or anyone you know has purchased any of the ice cream bars below, they can be returned at the point of purchase for a full refund.
