New Floating Tent Allows Campers to Sleep on Water

If you think camping next to the water is fun, just wait until you get a look at this “floating tent” that allows you to camp on the water. The newly launched Shoal Tent gives you the chance to do that — and take your love of the great outdoors to the next level.

Created by SmithFly Designs, this inflatable raft topped with a tent allows campers to simply inflate it with an included pump and float it out to their favorite spots on the water for a dreamy day (or night). Since the floating tent doesn’t have a rigid structure, this not only makes it easy to set up, but also easy to take down when you’re ready to go back to dry land again.

But while you’re in a floaty kind of mood, the Shoal Tent comfortably accommodates people up to 6-feet and 3-inches tall laying down, with standing room of up to six feet and three inches in the very middle. What’s more, the tent is waterproof, sealed with heavy duty zippers, and designed to withstand high winds. Weighing in at 50 pounds, the floating tent can be easily toted around in a burrito-roll-style carry and storage bag.

The Shoal Tent costs $1,499 and is only available for pre-order with an expected delivery date of January 2018. But if you pre-order now for delivery in this first batch, you can get the Shoal Tent for a 15 percent off discount — $1,274.15.
