This Natural 3-Ingredient DIY Toilet Bowl Cleaner Will Make You Not Dread Scrubbing the Bathroom
For many of us, the weekend is when we get the majority of our tidying done. I don’t know about you, but the bathroom is one of my least favorite rooms in the house to clean. The smell of chemicals from cleaning products gets to me and knowing that they’re toxic for your health is unappealing, so I went in search of some natural solutions. After some digging (and testing), I stumbled upon an essential oil toilet bowl cleaner that I absolutely love. Not only is it easy to make, but it’s also super effective!
This all-natural solution doesn’t contain any of the toxic junk that makes bathroom cleanup so miserable. It smells really fresh, and it’s made with just three simple ingredients that you’ve probably already got laying around in your house!
The first ingredient in this cleaning spray is vinegar. You might already know that vinegar is a powerful, multi-purpose staple in any household. Acetic acid, which is found in vinegar, makes it a potent disinfectant and deodorizer.
The second ingredient in this cleaning solution is baking soda – another pantry staple. Baking soda is also a great disinfectant and deodorizer, and it will help whiten your toilet bowl for a clean, fresh sparkle!
Last but not least, this cleaner contains tea tree essential oil, one of the most used essential oils for cleaning. Tea tree oil will make your bowl smell super fresh, and it’s also a known antiseptic and antiviral — perfect for bathroom messes!
