Congrats! Hoda Kotb Reveals Her Family Is Growing

Tags:

Exciting baby news for one our favorite TV hosts. Today show anchor Hoda Kotb has revealed that she’s adopted a baby girl.

The TV anchor, 52, has become a first-time mother after adopting the girl, who she’s named Haley Joy Kotb. (The name Haley comes from the English origin and means “field of hay.”) Such wonderful news!

We’re happy to report that the new parent seems over the moon about her new family member and her newest role. She called in to the Today show for the big reveal, and got an emotional on-air reaction from her colleagues.

“She’s a Valentine’s baby so she’s a little nugget,” Hoda, 52, told her fellow TODAY hosts. “She is the love of my life!”

Since the announcement, Kotb has been inundated with messages of congrats across social media from her many famous friends.

“This little girl Haley is the luckiest girl,” her co-host Matt Lauer said on the show. “You’re going to be one of the most fantastic moms I can ever imagine.”

We couldn’t be more thrilled for Kotb; it seems like things are really falling into place for her! Last year, she revealed on Today that she moved in with her NYC financier boyfriend, Joel Schiffman. The two have been dating since 2013.

Kotb was previously married to former University of New Orleans tennis coach Burzis Kanga. The couple divorced in 2007 after two years of marriage, and had no children.

In recent days, the star has been posting heartwarming quotes to her Instagram account that seem to convey excitement about her new life chapter.

Congratulations, Hoda! We’re so happy you’re now a mom, and we hope you cherish every minute of the wild ride you have just begun. Best wishes!
