You may think it makes no difference which side of the bed you sleep on, but you’d be wrong. Or rather, make that RIGHT. Turns out, sleeping on the left side of the bed may mean you have a sunnier disposition in the a.m., at least according to a survey commissioned by Sealy (the mattress company) in the U.K.
After asking 1,000 British citizens about their sleeping habits, the survey discovered something interesting. Lefties had a more positive outlook, liked their jobs more, had more friends, and were happier when they got up than righties were. Those that slept on the right side tended to be pessimistic, among other things.
Of course, there may be no scientific reason why sleeping on the left side helps improve a person’s mood, but if you tend to grumble when the alarm rings, swap sides with your mate. It can’t hurt — and it may help!
