Stop Night Sweats From Ruining Your Sleep With Chaste Tree Berry Supplements

Tags:

As uncomfortable and upsetting as perimenopause and menopause can be as we get older, they are both also sadly unavoidable. Frustrating symptoms like hot flashes and night sweats can last for years, perhaps even a decade or more, while our hormones sort themselves out over time. With that in mind, it makes sense that women would want to find ways to soothe those issues as soon as they start to flare up — especially when they start messing with their sleep schedule. A good night’s sleep can be difficult to achieve with the addition of your body feeling like it’s on fire, so whatever makes that easier is obviously welcome with open arms.

You may have already heard about how St. John’s wort can help calm your symptoms down, but there’s another herbal supplement you can try along with it to ease the level of hot flashes even more. Chaste tree berry has long been used for those still dealing with regular menstruation, but it can also be beneficial once you’ve entered into the stages of menopause. According to the experts at University Health News (UHN) Daily, the natural remedy has been shown to ease hot flashes and night sweats, plus other symptoms like depression. “In terms of menopause symptoms, chaste tree berry significantly decreases the frequency and severity of hot flashes after eight weeks of treatment compared to placebo,” they explained. “It also leads to statistically significant decreases in night sweats, insomnia, anxiety, depression, and headache compared to the control group.”

UHN recommends adding 500 to 800 milligrams of chaste tree berry supplement to your daily routine, but you should check with your doctor before taking any new supplement on a regular basis. Just because it’s a natural or herbal remedy doesn’t mean it is safe to use without a proper consultation first. If you do get the all clear from a medical professional, though, you can hopefully say goodbye to any menopause-related insomnia with the simple, budget-friendly supplement. You can find options at your local health food stores or online ($9.71, Amazon). Finally, you can tell your hot flashes to chill out!
