Love to Cook? You Can Win $10,000 For Whipping Up Your Favorite Recipe
What’s your absolute favorite thing to make in the kitchen? Is it a recipe your mom or grandma passed down? Your own special dish that you spent time perfecting over the years? Or a simple something you know will always get happily gobbled up at the dinner table? Whatever the answer is, you could win big bucks for showing off how you whip it up.
The foodies at So Yummy are currently offering a $10,000 prize to one lucky home chef just for sharing a short video of their kitchen skills — oh, and the chance to co-host a cooking show on their new TV channel. If you’ve been itching to embrace your inner Ina Garten, this is your time to shine!
Take a look at the contest rules:
- Create a video (5 minutes max) of you in your kitchen, cooking your favorite dish.
- While cooking, walk the audience through the process and show your personality!
- Post the video on your social media (Facebook or Instagram) before October 28 at 5 p.m. EST and use the following tags and hashtags: @soyummy #soyummy
That’s it! A panel of judges will review the submissions and choose their top 10 “most charismatic home chefs” to move onto the next round. Those who move forward will submit another short video discussing their favorite food memories and what first sparked their love of cooking.
Three finalists will then be selected from that round to complete a cooking challenge before the judges pick the winner. If you make it to the end, you’ll be $10,000 richer and potentially launch a whole new culinary career!
