Trying to choose between chocolate desserts and peanut butter desserts is like trying to choose a favorite child; it’s an impossible decision and one you shouldn’t have to make at all. That’s why we created this variation on the classic peanut butter pie. We covered it in chocolate so that each slice tastes like a giant Reese’s peanut butter cup–and then we added some of those for good measure.
Even better, this quick and easy recipe comes together in a matter of minutes, requires absolutely no baking, and wins the heart of anyone and everyone who tries it.
1 store-bought chocolate graham cracker pie crust
1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
1 cup powdered (confectioners’) sugar
15 Reese’s peanut butter cups miniatures
2 tbsp heavy cream (more if needed)
Reese’s peanut butter cups minis (for decorating)
In a large bowl or standing mixer (with paddle attachment), beat together peanut butter, confectioners’ sugar, and melted butter until fully combined and fluffy.
Spoon peanut butter mixture into store-bought pie crust and smooth out top.
Unwrap Reese’s miniatures and place in a microwave-safe mug. Microwave on high for 30 seconds.
Stir melted peanut butter cups and add heavy cream. Microwave on high for 20 seconds, then stir. (If needed, add more heavy cream and repeat until smooth ganache texture is reached.)
Allow melted Reese’s mixture to cool before spooning on top of peanut butter in store-bought pie crust. Smooth top.
Refrigerate for four hours, up to overnight. Garnish with chopped mini Reese’s peanut butter cups before serving.
