Moms Are Posting Relatable Post-Birth Photos After Kate Middleton’s Short Hospital Stay

Tags:

We all thought it: Duchess Catherine was looking as gorgeous as ever with her blow-dried brunette locks, a royal-approved frock, and a brush of blush on her cheeks, just hours after giving birth to her little boy. Well, we weren’t the only ones who were slightly stunned by Kate’s quick hospital discharge. In response, new moms all over the world are posting their own post-birth pictures online — and let us tell you, they look a little different than those of Kate Middleton’s seemingly perfect exit from St. Mary’s Hospital’s Lindo Wing. For example, take a look at these mothers who bravely posted their photos to Instagram.

Kate Middleton…. and me after birth of third child 😂😂😂 …. seriously though, she looked beaituful and I feel bad people making negative comments about how unreal is for her to have left in heels and a dress. Lets be honest though, we all know that under that lovely outfit is a nursing bra with pads to keep her from leaking through her clothes along with a flabby after birth belly tucked into some mesh underwear you also have the worlds largest pad thats covered in some witch hazel pads and ointment…. if your lucky you get a maxi pad that is also an Icepack to shove in your mesh undies as well. Its sort of like judging a book by its cover….. just like we are all the same on the inside… post birth moms are the same under whatever outfit you walk out in. #katemiddleton #royalbaby #thirdbaby #hospitalafterbirthpic #iwantabeautyteam #imstillhot #ijusthadababy #myshoesdidntmatch #meshunderwear #icepackpad #hemroidcream #duchesskatevswheelchairmom

But that doesn’t that these moms aren’t on Team Kate. “We all know that under that lovely outfit is a nursing bra with pads to keep [Duchess Catherine] from leaking through her clothes, along with a flabby after-birth belly tucked into some mesh underwear,” @theformer_ntmom wrote on Instagram under a picture of her being wheeled out of hospital in a wheelchair. “You also have the world’s largest pad that’s covered in some witch hazel pads and ointment. If you’re lucky, you get a maxi pad and an icepack to shove in your mesh undies as well.”

She then went on to say that before everyone stops to judge the duchess for jetting out of the hospital just hours after giving birth to her little boy, think about what’s beneath that blow-dry and her seemingly perfect outfit: the same thing as all new moms. “It’s sort of like judging a book by its cover,” she continues. “We are all the same on the inside… all post-birth moms are the same under whatever outfit they walk out in.” And we couldn’t agree more.

Kate Middleton may look like she has it all together as a mother in her post-birth photos, but even she has admitted that she struggles as a mom sometimes. Watch the video below to see Kate talk about the difficulties of motherhood:
