It’s not every day that a guy takes to Facebook to proclaim that he cheated on his wife. But that’s precisely what Jason Hewlett, a comedian and impressionist, did yesterday–and it’s making us all look at our mates with new eyes.
Of course, Hewlett didn’t really cheat on his wife. He was at Target, standing in the checkout aisle, when he noticed a beautiful woman at the register (that would be the blonde woman in the photo above). “I thought, ‘Wow, some lucky guy is with her,’ and in a split second I realized it was my wife! You know, it was just out of context to see my spouse at the same store…” he posted.
He tried to get her attention by texting her (“What are you buying now, my Babelicious?”) but she was too busy looking for a coupon to notice. Finally, he gave up and just watched her. “I was taken aback by how amazingly beautiful she is once again. I believe I see it often, but today, not knowing she was at the store, I saw her with new eyes and just couldn’t believe I get to be her fella,” he confessed.
As he watched her grab her packages and walk away, he wrote, “I never said anything, just watched her walk away, admiringly, knowing she’s my wife and I love everything about this woman. Lesson of the Day: It’s good to look at those we love with fresh eyes whenever we can to remind us how lucky we are to have their light in our lives.”
