Jennifer Aniston Uses This Easy ’15-15-15′ Workout to Stay in Killer Shape at 52

It's easier than you think.

It might seem like time does not apply the same rules to celebrities like Jennifer Aniston as it does to the rest of us. However, the Friends actress, 52, says that staying in shape isn’t just a matter of luck — rather, it’s about giving your body the right fuel and dedicating some of your day, every day, to movement. When it comes to exercise, she recently gave some specific insight into her favorite workout routine — and it’s much easier than you might think.

Jennifer Aniston’s ’15-15-15′ Workout Routine

In an interview with InStyle, Aniston, who’s the cover girl of their September issue, gave us all a closer look into her personal life and how she manages to prioritize fitness every day, despite her rather busy life. According to the star, she had a minor setback in 2020, but aims to get back on track with her favorite workout regimen.

“I had an injury last fall and I was only able to do Pilates, which I absolutely love. But I was missing that kind of sweat when you just go for it,” Aniston confessed. “I’m going back to my 15-15-15, which is a 15-minute spin, elliptical, run.” Not so bad, right? And even on days she’s not feeling up for a full workout, she says she still tries to move her body in some way. “I need some kind of movement, even if it’s just 10 minutes a day on a trampoline.”

Aniston, who has a ridiculous set of abs, glowing skin, and legs even Rachel Green would be jealous of, has clearly nailed the whole staying-in-shape thing. And while lengthier cardio workouts on a single machine can feel boring and arduous for most of us, we love how she varies her routine so that she’s doing just a little bit of everything. The best part is, doing all three of these exercises will activate just about every muscle group, so you’re really getting a total body workout — all in less than an hour!

As for what she eats to stay healthy, Aniston’s trainer told Women’s Health that he encourages her to eat nutrient-rich foods like whole grains, protein, leafy greens, other bright, colorful vegetables, and lots of healthy fats, including salmon, avocados, and olive oil. Even when she’s stressed, Aniston is pretty strict about her diet. When asked what she eats during these times, she responded, “A chip. Crunch, crunch, crunch.” To clarify, yes, she means just one chip. “I’m good at that. I can have one M&M, one chip. I know, that’s so annoying,” she told InStyle. We don’t think we could ever have the same restraint, but more power to her — and bless her for knowing it is a wee bit annoying.

While we may not ever be Jennifer Aniston, it’s nice to know that something as simple as dedicating some time each day to your health and wellness and making sure to prioritize movement, is how she stays fit at 52. To keep yourself motivated, try varying your cardio workouts on different machines like Aniston does. Along with a healthy diet, this simple exercise routine is sure to yield some positive results.
