A Look Inside Jennifer Aniston’s Sprawling Bel Air Home

Although Jennifer Aniston is best known for her acting skills, you probably didn’t know that she is an extreme home décor enthusiast — and the interior of her sophisticated Bel Air, California mansion proves it.
The actress, who lives with her husband, Justin Theroux, and their three dogs has given Architectural Digest an inside look into her sprawling Los Angeles estate. Originally bought in 2011 for $21 million, Aniston admitted that aesthetically, it was actually “the furthest thing from what I wanted.”

With the help of her friend and interior designer Stephen Shadley, Aniston transformed her home to emulate both her and Theroux’s style.
“Justin definitely wanted to be involved, so there was a bit of a learning curve for me on how to include another voice in the design process,” Aniston says. “For instance, I figured out that immediately saying ‘No!’ to any suggestion is not the most collaborative move.”

Thankfully, the team effort paid off. The abode is fitted out with twentieth century classics and layered with abstract expressionist paintings, hand-painted wallpaper, and silk rugs. The main bathroom also features a custom Calacatta marble tub, which looks out to a courtyard garden — a luxurious retreat.

“If I wasn’t an actress, I’d want to be a designer. I love the process,” she admits. “There’s something about picking out fabrics and finishes that feeds my soul.”
We’d have to agree.
