Affordable Easter Decorating Ideas for Your Entryway

Tags:

While decorating our homes for Christmas comes naturally to most of us, when Easter rolls around we are either uninspired or unsure of how to decorate our homes accordingly. If you don’t know where to start when it comes to decorating your home for Easter, your entryway is the perfect place to practice your styling skills. The good news? You don’t have to spend a fortune or do anything too complex to create a beautiful Easter-inspired entry.

Gina Curiano from the Australian home decor blog Style Curator shares her favorite Easter decorating ideas that are so pretty you’ll want to keep them up long after Easter!

DIY Easter Door Mat

An easy and fun DIY project you can do for Easter is to create your own doormat. For just a few dollars, you can pick up a plain doormat and personalize it in a thousand different ways — from writing messages like “Hoppy Easter!” to spray painting images like a bunny. Complete your outdoor entry with other décor, such as stylish lanterns or outdoor plants.

Festive Lighting

Special occasions call for festive lighting; think stylish paper lanterns or string lights. You could lay the lights on your entry table or string them from the ceiling.

Easter Moodboard

Easter Moodboard

On your console table, a large gold-wire inspiration board is perfect for displaying Easter cards, family photos, and even small décor. Reuse it after Easter in another room, such as your office.

DIY Easter Tree

Another simple DIY idea is an Easter tree. By placing several branches in a ceramic vase, you can hang Easter eggs from the limbs. There are many egg options (real blown eggs, plastic eggs, or even chocolate eggs) and even more ways you can decorate them. Try the colorful, fillable plastic Easter eggs (I spray painted mine white) and place little surprises inside, such as little chicks or Easter sweet treats.

Sweet Bunny Art

Add affordable bunny art prints to your vignette, or consider making your own. Do this by cutting a bunny shape out of wrapping paper of your choice and placing it inside a plain A3 frame.

Easter Décor

Finish your entry styling with smaller décor, such glass and ceramic bunny vases filled with chocolate eggs or little chicks, which add a fun pop of color. Many stores have a great range of affordable and stylish Easter decor!
