Now to Love
The remake is rarely as good as the original, but could this card game be different? Mashable and The Associated Press report an exciting announcement from Mattel: There's going to be a follow up to everyone's favorite card game, Uno, and it's called Dos. Reports say it took them two years to develop DOs, but were not sure why because it seems almost identical to the original Uno.
The Mattel Game website explains the rules to Dos. See if you notice any similarities.
How to play Dos.
The game has a 108-card deck plus instructions.
To start, there are two piles of cards in the middle of the participants, and on each player's turn, they can play on both piles with either one or two cards.
In a fun twist, if a player has two cards that add up to the number of the card in the center pile, they are able to put down both cards.
Just like Uno, Dos is a race to get rid of your cards before your competitors do. The first person to get to 200 points is the winner.
And in a fun twist, now when you're down to two cards, don't forget to yell "DOS!"
The game is for two to four players, ages seven and older.
Basically, it's a slightly more complicated version of the original, but we're still excited get the family together and play. It has been 50 years since Uno was introduced, and we're ready for a change. There's no release date for Dos yet, though the Mattel website says the products will be available "soon." Other websites predict the game will hit shelves anytime between March and August.
