Our hearts go out to country singer Dolly Parton as she deals with the loss of a dear family member.
The country star and legendary icon's niece, Tever Louise Parton, has died. "Sweet T," as she was called, was the daughter of Dolly's brother Randy and sister-in-law Deb. Tever was only 36 years old.
Dolly's sister, Stella, broke the news on Facebook with a moving tribute to her deceased niece. She started with the Bible verse John 14:1-4:
"Let not your hearts be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my father's house are many mansions: if it were not true I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself; that where I am there ye may be also.. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know."
Stella then asked for prayers for her and her family. "Yes, grief is deep and no one knows the heartache of another but I do know my niece,"sweet T" Tever is with the Lord and we find comfort in the scriptures during this time. Please pray for my brother Randy, my sister-in-law Deb, my niece Heidi and my great nephew Houston and our entire family. Our hearts are broken. Thank you for your kindness and respect at this time. Please feel free to post inspirational thoughts, scriptures and songs if you wish."
In her obituary, Tever's family asks that in place of flowers guests make contributions to Pets Without Parents.
None of the Parton family members hinted at the cause of death. Dolly has yet to release a statement about her niece, but we know she must be grieving, especially considering Dolly Parton just lost her "Mr. Everything" in March.
We're keeping the entire Parton family in our thoughts and prayers.
