Well, you can't blame Dad for trying! Mom Ashlie Nicole Williams asked her boyfriend, Aaron Cade, to put their daughter to bed as soon as daddy and daughter got home, but she was surprised to see Cade had taken her instructions a little too literally when she checked in on her little girl.
Williams shared the funny-yet-adorable dad fail on Twitter, saying, "I told him to 'Just put her in the bed.' He did exactly that." Little London, their daughter, is fast asleep...but still in her car seat! Perhaps the cutest part of the story is that Dad, oblivious to the fact that he had to take London out of her car seat before putting her to bed, even pulled up the blankets to tuck in his daughter. How sweet!

He's "the absolute best dad," Williams, 24, said of her partner, 25. But when she walked in to see her daughter still in the car seat, Williams said she had to leave the room to laugh so she wouldn't wake up London. "Really, dude?" she said to Cade when she saw him. "He looked at me with the funniest facial expression, like he didn’t see why I was laughing," Williams told TODAY. "He said 'What?'"
But based on the responses to Williams' viral tweet, her boyfriend isn't the only dad who made the same mistake with the car seat.

And can you really fault him? He did do exactly what Williams told him to... And most importantly, little London didn't seem to mind. In fact, she looked pretty darn cute (and comfortable) asleep in her car seat. We give Dad an A-plus for creativity.
"It’s overwhelming and I didn’t expect it to get as far as it has," Williams said. "It’s so funny! I love that all these dads are creative enough to figure out ways to do things that we’d never even think of."
