Skip the Pumpkin Spice Lattes — You Can Make These Fall Coffee Blends at Home

If you delight in coming up with your own coffee blends and recipes, we're sure you'll be excited to know that coffee is actually pretty good for you. In fact, it's got a lot of health benefits — and can even add years to your life. Plus, you know, if helps you wake up in the mornings and erases those tension headaches you start to get in the afternoons, so really we're sure you don't need any more convincing to drink it. But, like us, you're probably still on the lookout for ways to spice up your coffee in the mornings — without the trip to Starbucks to fork over your hard-earned cash.

Luckily, we've got just the thing. There are a lot of deliciously flavored coffee blends already out there on the market, but we took a look at them and had a genius idea. Why not mix those blends even further to create truly customized, decadent flavors all on your own? With fall just beginning, we already had a few of our favorite flavors in mind. And no, we're not just talking about pumpkin spice. (Although, of course we had to come up with at least one pumpkin spice flavor. Hey, it wouldn't be fall without it.)

The best part? This doesn't include any fancy (occasionally fattening) syrups or extra sugars or anything like that. These are simply two different flavors of coffee beans mixed together to form the perfect seasonal blends. Skip the apple picking early on Saturday morning. Instead, you can stay home, warm your toes in some fuzzy slippers, and put on a pot of joe. The apple orchard is coming to you this autumn — and you can enjoy it in front of the TV in your favorite comfy chair.
