A new iconic edible duo is in town! Move over peanut butter and jelly and bacon and eggs, wine and Cheez-Its have arrived! No, not wine and cheese, though delicious, we're talking wine and Cheez-It crackers. You have to admit a tasty glass of red and a handful of crunchy goodness sounds pretty tempting right about now. Happy hour, anyone?
If this combo makes your mouth water too (perhaps you've partaken?), you can get your hands on a dual box of wine and the cheesy crackers combined for the perfect picnic treat. Think about how easy this would be to pack for the park or the beach!
Starting tomorrow, July 25, you can purchase the box combo on House Wine’s website. The wine is the brand’s blend of 50 percent cabernet sauvignon and 50 percent merlot — and they aren’t holding back on the amount, either. The box holds about four bottles, so you’ll have plenty to share with your friends. And don't worry, box wine keeps for about six weeks, so you don't have to drink it all at once.
Each box is $25, but you’re definitely getting a deal in wine alone. That is, if you’re able to get your hands on one quick enough. The special offer is a first come, first served basis while supplies last, so you’ll need to act fast!
If you’re not able to snag this box set for yourself (or you’re just not a fan of that particular wine offering), you can always make your own version with whatever you’d prefer. In fact, the Cheez-It website offers a handy guide to which wines they believe pair best with their various flavors of crackers. In the mood for white cheddar? Trying sipping some fruity rosé while you crunch. Or do you like maxing out on flavor with their zesty cheddar ranch option? Then you might like to add a bottle of Malbec to your shopping cart before checking out.
We hope this is the start of a trend for the cracker and wine companies. We’d love to see that rosé combo up for sale in a box combo set next!
