Jessica Simpson Embraces a ‘Warrior Mindset’ in Stunning Yoga Pic

The powerful mom-of-three has made big changes in her life.

These days, we’re all looking for a little extra workout motivation. Luckily for us, Jessica Simpson took to Instagram recently to share a beautiful photo of herself doing a yoga pose that made us all want to drop to our mats ASAP.

Singer, actor, and mom-of-three Simpson has been pretty vocal about her weight-loss journey. She posted this stunning picture of herself doing a yoga posture called warrior 2 while in front of her pool and a stunning view of the sunset. Simpson captioned the photo, “Starting the week with a warrior mindset aligned with the beauty of the sunset.”

Simpson’s transparency and positivity about her body since being pregnant with and giving birth to her third child, Birdie Mae, has been so refreshing. Just a little over a year ago, she shared that she “tipped the scales at 240” during her pregnancy, revealing to the world her impressive 100-pound weight loss.

So, what was the singer’s secret? Her personal trainer, Harley Pasternak, told US Weekly, “It’s not just about workouts. You don’t lose weight doing bicep curls and lunges. You lose weight by changing your diet, hitting your step goal, [and] working on your sleep. Those are the things she did so well.”

In addition to working out, Simpson followed Pasternaks healthy. eating plan from his book the The Body Reset Diet: Power Your Metabolism, Blast Fat, and Shed Pounds in Just 15 Days (Buy on Amazon, $11.69), which focuses on foods rich in protein as well as fresh fruit and vegetables.

But Simpsons mindset has clearly been a huge motivator on her health journey, too. In her touching memoir, Open Book (Buy on Amazon, $16.99), she shares an emotional account of her battle with addiction. “I was killing myself with all the drinking and pills,” she wrote. As a mom, she realized that drinking was not only taking a toll on her physical health, but also on her mental health and her ability to be the parent she wanted to be. “Giving up the alcohol was easy,” she says. “I was mad at that bottle. At how it allowed me to stay complacent and numb.”

Since 2017, the star has been sober and on the up and up, and to us, it appears that she’s embraced this healthy new lifestyle in the most empowering way.

Back in May, she shared this workout selfie, captioning the pic “Woke up before all 3 kiddos to get my steps in and spend time with me, myself, and I. Move move move for your own mental health.” Now that’s something we can all get behind!

As a mom of three beautiful children, a successful businesswoman, and a generally open and honest human being, we have to say that Jessica Simpson is motivation for us all to take better care of ourselves — for ourselves, and those we love — in what ever ways we can.

“When I finally said I needed help, it was like I was that little girl that found her calling again in life,” she wrote in her book. “I found direction, and that was to walk straight ahead with no fear. Honesty is hard but it’s the most rewarding thing we have. And getting to the other side of fear is beautiful.”

We think that’s a warrior mindset to live by.
