Wolfgang Van Halen Is Engaged — And Mom Valerie Bertinelli Is Ecstatic
Wolfgang Van Halen is engaged to his longtime girlfriend Andraia Allsop — and his mom Valerie Bertinelli is over the moon. The 31-year-old musician son of late rockstar Eddie Van Halen posted a photo on Instagram to announce the good news (and to show off the beautiful diamond ring he gifted Allsop).
“She said yes!!” Van Halen wrote in his caption. Bertinelli responded in the comments: “How do I ❤️ this a million times? So happy!!!!!!!” To that, Val Halen replied, “love you maaa.” His proud mother went on to share a photo of the announcement on her own Instagram story.
Van Halen and Allsop have been together for six years, and in April they attended the 2022 Grammy Awards with Bertinelli. Van Halen was nominated for his song “Distance” In the best rock song category.
Following the death of his famous father in December 2020, Van Halen publicly thanked Allsop for supporting him at their five year relationship marker, especially when things got tough. “5 years with this beautiful lady today,” he wrote on Instagram at the time. “I’m so thankful that she’s in my life. She’s the reason I’m remotely functional at all right now. She’s helped me through so much. I don’t know what I’d do without her.”
