Maressa Brown

Maressa Brown is a Los Angeles–based journalist and astrologer who has written parenting, astrology, pop culture, and general lifestyle content for nearly two decades. She is also the author of Mercury Magic: How to Thrive During Retrogrades and Tap Into the Power of the Messenger Planet All Year Long (Workman 2024) and Raising Baby by the Stars: A New Parent’s Guide to Astrology (Artisan 2023).  In addition to serving as a regular contributor and resident astrologer for Woman’s World and First for Women, Brown’s byline regularly appears on Parents magazine, SELF, InStyle, Shape, What to Expect digital, PopSugar.com, Horoscope.com, Conceive, et al. She serves as the senior editor for Care.com and has appeared in both live and taped-to-air video segments as a commentator on WGN-TV,  NBC News Daily, ABC News, and Good Morning America. Her content area specialties include astrology, health, love and sex,  parenting, pop culture, and beauty and style.
