Move over, Bill Nye! There's a new kid who's angling for the role of science guy and he's got a future, judging from a video he posted on Facebook about autism that's now gotten over 4 million views. And he's only 12, so he's got plenty of time to branch out into other topics, or even stand-up.
But for now, Marco Arturo is aiming his sights on a topic that keeps stirring up controversy: the connection between vaccines and autism. He starts off his video holding up a folder that looks pretty impressive, and is stuffed with pages of evidence. Then he examines each one to come to his brilliant conclusion. Let's just say it's not what you expect.
Even though some are claiming that the boy is an imposter, Marco Arturo says he's from Mexico, and taught himself to speak English by watching videos on the Internet (though he does study the subject in school).
Watch the video--it makes a plea for vaccines that deserves your attention.
