Shortly after the news that Murray Fraser and Parisa Fitz-Henley will be playing Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in the upcoming Lifetime movie about their romance, further casting details have been announced. Australian actor Burgess Abernethy will play Harry’s older brother, Prince William, and Laura Mitchell will be playing his wife, Kate Middleton. The actors playing their two children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, will be Preston Karwat and Briella Weintraub, respectively.
There will also be some former royals in the film. Actress Bonnie Soper will portray Harry and William’s late mother, Princess Diana. Queen Elizabeth will also make an appearance, but she will sadly not be played by Helen Mirren — who’s played her twice — but instead Maggie Sullivan.
Harry and Meghan: A Royal Love Story follows in the footsteps of a similar TV movie that was made about Kate and William’s courtship and engagement, William and Kate: The Movie. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their engagement in November last year, and will marry at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle on May 19.
