Jennifer Garner’s Healthy Morning Smoothie Recipe Helps Her Stay Fit

Now it’s easy to eat a healthy breakfast in the morning — all thanks to Jennifer Garner and her delicious breakfast smoothie! The actress took to Instagram to share the recipe that’s been a part of her diet for several months now and it looks seriously healthy. Jennifer revealed that she’s been seeing holistic nutritionist Kelly LeVeque, so we know the smoothie ingredients are definitely good for you.

“Don’t be scared! It’s tastier than it looks!” Jen captioned her Instagram video. “I started working with @bewellbykelly a few months ago to get ready for #PEPPERMINTmovie and have had her smoothie every day for breakfast since. Today, I decided to play scientist and see if my @onceuponafarm cold-pressed, organic purée (or baby food, if you’re a baby, but whatever) could be a substitute for fresh blueberries when I didn’t see any in the fridge. Yep, it could.”

#BeWELLSMOOTHIE recipe:

  • 2 scoops @primalkitchenfoods collagen protein powder (hot tip: I prefer the Chocolate Coconut Collagen Fuel)

  • 1 tbsp. ground flaxseed

  • 1 tbsp. chia seeds

  • 1 tbsp. almond butter (if no one’s looking I use extra…)

  • 1 ½ cups unsweetened almond milk

  • Handful of fresh spinach

  • Small handful of ice

  • Very small handful of blueberries (please see almond butter. Also true here.)

  • Mix all ingredients together in blender and enjoy.

Jennifer has been very busy in 2018, including celebrating her daughter Seraphina’s birthday —Ben Affleck was reportedly in attendance! “Jennifer hosted a small birthday party for Seraphina at her house late Saturday afternoon,” a source told E! News. “Ben was the first guest to arrive on his motorcycle right as the party was starting. He was in a great mood.” Co-parenting goals!

The former couple welcomed Seraphina back in 2009 and it’s hard to believe she’s already nine! Jennifer and Ben also share another daughter, Violet, 12, and a son, Samuel, 5. Ben has previously opened up about co-parenting with his former wife, and only had good things to say! “Jen is a superhero mom,” he said. “She is an amazing mother and I’m really lucky to have her as a partner to co-parent these kids with. We try our best, we put them first and that’s what we do.” So sweet!
