Jamie Foxx Walks Out of Live Interview When Asked About Katie Holmes

They might have finally confirmed their relationship with public displays of affection — most recently at Clive Davis’ annual pre-Grammys party — but Jamie Foxx isn’t ready to talk about his girlfriend, Katie Holmes.

Jamie walked out of a live interview with ESPN after he was asked about whether he had played basketball with the actress on Valentine’s Day. The on-air interview was taking place just before Jamie was going to play in an all-star celebrity basketball game. Despite the awkward interview, Jamie wasn’t angry or rude, (he was smiling coyly the entire time), which proved there was no bad blood behind his decision not to talk.

The couple is rumored to have been dating for several years, but many fans speculate that they have forced to keep their relationship a secret due to a strange clause in Holmes’ divorce settlement with her former husband, Tom Cruise. The clause reportedly says the actress is unable to “publicly date” anyone else for five years after the split. In July of 2017, Jamie and Katie were seen holding hands on a beach in Malibu, California, five years after Holmes’ divorce from Cruise was finalized.

Grazia uncovered the rumors of the secret clause through an interview with Ronald Miscavige, whose son David Miscavige is the leader of the Church of Scientology. “Nobody knows for sure if she signed the agreement, but I know that when she left him, she did date other people on the sly,” Ronald said. “I’m sure she’s eager to get her life back and not have to hide her romance any more.”
