This Thanksgiving, give your kids the turkey of their dreams (or nightmares? We don’t know what your kids are into) with these three funky and fun Thanksgiving turkey recipes created by Reynolds Kitchens.

Flamin’ Hot Cheetos Encrusted Turkey Recipe

We’re not too sure what a Flamin’ Hot Cheetos encrusted turkey would taste like, but if we had to guess, it’s probably pretty spicy. And, very, very messy. You might want to get out a pair of gloves for this one.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Turkey
  • Butter or Oil
  • 1 tsp Flour
  • 1 Small bowl of Flamin’ Hot Cheetos

You’ll also need: Reynolds Kitchens Oven Bag, scissors, a basting brush, a roasting pan, and a food processor.

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Place Flamin’ Hot Cheetos in a food processor. Process until they’re fully crushed. To ensure the Cheetos are fully crushed, try adding your already processed Cheetos to a zip top bag and roll with a rolling pin until the contents have reached your desired level of crunch.

3. Brush butter or oil on the turkey and coat with crushed chips.

4. Add 1 tsp of flour to the Reynolds Oven Bag and place in a large roasting pan that’s at least two inches deep.

5. Carefully slide the turkey into the oven bag. Make sure that the opening of the bag is facing the end of the roasting pan. Please note, the bag should be inside the pan, not hanging over the edges.

6. Close the oven bag with the included nylon tie and cut one-half-inch slits in the top of the bag.

7. Once your turkey has reached an internal temperature of 180 degrees in the thickest part of the thigh, remove it from the oven. Let it stand for 15 minutes. Cut the top of the bag (careful, don’t burn yourself!) and remove the turkey. Place the turkey onto a cutting board.

8. Plate, carve, and serve!

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

2. Place ranch-flavored chips in a food processor. Process until fully crushed. To ensure the Doritos are fully crushed, try adding your already processed Doritos to a zip top bag and roll with a rolling pin until the contents have reached your desired level of crunch.

3. Brush butter or oil on turkey and coat with the crushed chips.

4. Tear off a sheet of Reynolds Wrap Heavy Duty Aluminum Foil two-and-a-half times longer than turkey. Place turkey lengthwise in center of foil sheet.

5. Close foil loosely by overlapping the ends. Turn up the short sides of the foil — this will hold in the juices. Do not seal airtight. Place foil-wrapped turkey in a roasting pan that’s at least two inches deep. Insert meat thermometer through foil into thickest part of the inner thigh. Make sure the thermometer is not touching the bone.

6. Roast turkey until the temperature reaches 180 degrees. For a stuffed turkey, add 30 minutes to roasting time. To brown the turkey, open and turn back foil for 30 minutes before roasting is finished. For easy slicing, cover the turkey with foil and let stand 15 minutes.

7. Plate, carve, and serve!
