This Nutty White Chocolate Cherry ‘Nice Cream’ Recipe Is Bound to Become a Mid-Week Favorite

Tags:

You’re going to love this easy-to-make, fruit-filled dessert. Made with frozen bananas, frozen cherries, and Justin’s White Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups, this delicious and dairy-free Nutty White Chocolate Cherry “Nice Cream” recipe is bound to become a midweek favorite. Bonus: It’s cheaper (not to mention healthier!) than store-bought ice cream.

What is “nice” cream?

If you haven’t heard the term “nice cream” yet, you’re in for a treat! “Nice cream” is a quick and easy way to get your ice cream fix without gorging on sugar. (Believe us, we know how easy it is to make a carton of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream disappear during a Netflix binge.) “Nice cream,” short for “banana ice cream,” basically replaces the dairy in ice cream with frozen bananas — all you need is a blender. What’s even better? The bananas have the same texture as traditional ice cream. “Nice cream” is a soft and creamy blank canvas: you can add chocolate, caramel, or blueberries — the options are endless. This is also a great way to get kids to eat their fruits, as the “nice cream” is so naturally sweet, they won’t notice the switcheroo! So when you’re in the frozen aisle, reach for the fruit instead of that calorie-high pint of ice cream.

Don’t like bananas? No problem. Fruits such as mangoes and raspberries will give you the same yummy result, leaving you with a creamier, sorbet-like treat.
