This will be the ninth Giada De Laurentiis cookbook, although this one is “an homage to my grandfather’s Italy, featuring lots of super traditional recipes and lifestyle secrets he would have loved,” she wrote in the newsletter for her website, Giadzy. So far, De Laurentiis has tested over 73 recipes in only six days. Imagine the number of dishes that need washing. No, thanks!

The best part about this cookbook is it brings mother and daughter together. Giada De Laurentiis’ daughter, Jade, 9, has worked as her mom’s unofficial taste tester—a pretty enviable task considering the delicious recipes de Laurentiis is surely whipping up.

“Jade was happy to lend a hand as my unofficial taste tester, especially when the desserts rolled around. Brownies are her favorite right now, so between those and the brownie ice cream cake, she was a happy camper,” she said. “And needless to say, we have plenty of tasty leftovers to feed friends and family for weeks to come too!”

The final product will feature stories and pictures from De Laurentiis’ trip to Italy, where a portion of her family still resides.

“We’ll cook together, explore the city and the places that make Italian food so special,” she said. “Together with the recipes we’ve just wrapped, I hope it’ll give you a full picture of the country that’s such an important part of who I am.”

No word yet on the name of her new cookbook, but fans won’t have to wait long. It’ll hit shelves in spring of 2018. While you wait, you can get your Italian food fix when De Laurentiis’ show Giada in Italy returns to Food Network this month.

They say good things take time, but it’ll sure be hard to wait patiently.
